You will be helping raise awareness and promoting inclusion of participation in the arts, to improve the wellbeing of our communities through our Vision of "inspiring happier healthier".
Hours, Pay and Benefits
Full time (37 hours per week) but happy to consider a job share for two part time 18.5 hours per week contracts
Fixed term until 31 March 2026
Starting salary £23,151 per annum (or pro rata if job share)

Key Experiences and Qualifications
Essential
Previous experience in a culture, arts or educational environment, of organising workshops, and working with members of the community
Knowledge of the arts sector and ability to think creatively
Knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding, sustainability, GDPR, and administrative processes.
Able to communicate effectively and work with empathy, tact and diplomacy
Ability to be self-motivated and to motivate others
Committed to inclusion
Happy to travel across Newport as required
Beneficial
Ability to communicate in Welsh (or any other languages in addition to English)
Good IT skills or quick to pick up new IT skills where required
A personal arts practice
Knowledge of diversity, equalities and inclusion
Previous experience in an arts development role, of working with professional artists and arts organisation, or experience of administrating projects
Role Requirements
Reporting into our Senior Creative Development Coordinator, you will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and be able to organise and deliver creative activities at The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre, or in the community.
Main responsibilities will include:
Delivery of creative community and education programmes which support our strategic priorities
Assisting with organising creative events and festivals
Assisting with identifying and applying for funding opportunities
Building relationships and engaging with community stakeholders, and helping to with promoting activities
Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects and events, and supporting with the administration and documentation of projects
Additional Requirements
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a successful Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.
